Terms Of Service

Thrive Digital Wellbeing Pty Ltd – Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 22, 2024

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Thrive – Smarter screen time (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Account Creation and Family Sharing

  • Thrive exclusively uses Sign in with Apple for account creation and authentication.
  • Accounts can be shared within Apple Family Sharing groups, allowing parents to manage and supervise their child’s activities within Thrive.
 
 

3. Child Portals and Parental Responsibility

  • Child portals are connected to parent accounts via subscription transaction identifiers and security tokens sent from the parent’s device. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that their device is secure.
  • Biometric or PIN Authentication: When accessing shared device states (such as switching between child and parent modes), Thrive requires Apple’s biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID) or a PIN to ensure the child cannot access the parental portal. Parents are responsible for ensuring that their child does not have access to their password or other authentication methods.
 
 

4. External Activities and Parental Responsibility

  • Thrive facilitates the encouragement of external or device based activities but does not void or replace any natural parental responsibilities. Parents are still responsible for their child’s actions and activities outside the app.
  • Thrive is not responsible for the use or outcomes of any other apps, websites, or services that may be accessed while using the Thrive system.
 
 

5. Not a Substitute for Professional Advice

  • Thrive is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or other professional advice. Parents should consult a professional if they have concerns about their child’s wellbeing.
 
 

6. Parental Tasks and Flexibility

  • Thrive offers flexible features, but we are not responsible for the consequences of any specific tasks or activities set by parents for their children.
 
 

7. No Advertising and Child Safety

Thrive is an ad-free platform, particularly in Child Mode. There are no third-party links or advertisements that could direct children outside the app.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate any part of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time via the app’s settings.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify users through the App or email.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction.
